Thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland situated at the base of the front of your neck, just below the Adam’s apple. Hormones produced by the thyroid gland are triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4) and calcitonin. They have an enormous impact on our health, affecting all aspects of our metabolism. These hormones also influence the control of vital functions, such as body temperature, heart rate and digestion. It also affects the way our mind thinks.

Hypothyroidism is a medical condition characterized by an underactive thyroid gland, which fails to produce enough thyroid hormones to meet the body’s needs.

Key important symptoms of Hypothyroidism disorder are as under. Tick the box if you have:

  Increasing or fluctuating body weight

The above signs can indicate you have hypothyroidism. Thyroid diseases are becoming increasingly common. Amongst the adult population the prevalence of hypothyroidism is about 3.9 % in a trial of 971 adults, prevalence in women more than men. Most common cause is autoimmunity.

SURYANAMASKAR AND DYNAMIC PRACTICES

Suryanamaskars and dynamic practices to increase physical activity, making the body more sensitive to available hormone and improve body metabolism

PRANAYAMA

Breathing Practices and Pranayama to reduce stress and fatigue and improve energy levels and sleep

ASANAS AND SPECIAL PRACTICES

Asanas and special practices with awareness to improve blood circulation to the thyroid and balance its functioning

MUDRAS, BANDHAS AND MANTRAS

You will learn some mudras to make subtle changes to the energy body. You will also learn bandhas and practices with mantras to balance the thyroid functioning

MEDITATION

You will learn a variety of meditations like visualization, contemplative, on the breath, yoga nidra and more to decrease the over stimulation of the mind and develop attitudes that help connecting one with inner source of joy, happiness and bring contentment
